  Executive Summary
Mind Sports Australia (MSA) is a festival of thinking games’ tournaments. Instead of just a single chess or scrabble tournament, the MSA offers a variety of Mind Sport events. Mind Sports Australia is open to competitors of all ages, nationalities and skill levels - a factor that will encourage many families to attend. It is unique in offering the opportunity to learn new games, to meet and receive coaching from World or National Champions and then compete with newly acquired skills.

The concept is based on an idea started in London known as the Mind Sports Olympiad. This focused on the Elite Players and events suited to them. Mind Sports Australia will encourage a wider cross-section of the community in active participation and promote thinking, creativity and learning through fun and games. It will be a vehicle for social and cultural communication and build lasting ties for Australia, as a learning nation and centre for intellectual talent, through Asia and the World.
